Every year,
the new intake of STPM students, they are having doubt in their future
undertaking.
What I
noticed, which is obvious, students are not equipped with career planning
knowledge. As usual majority of them
gain career resources mainly from their peers, family members or sometimes
rumors.
As a school
counselor, I am sad in seeing this situation on going for years when I started
off this profession. I tried many
alternatives and strategies to build the students’ awareness and knowledge
base, but I clearly know that we need more school counselors who can really
participate and carry out their roles effectively and efficiently.
Anyhow, I
would like to provide some answers that my students have acquire, hope it helps

Students who manage to get a placements, they said easy; those who failed the
placement, they said difficult.
So, Syarat Am permohonan kemasukan
ke IPTA bagi Program Pengajian Lepasan STPM/Setaraf adalah seperti berikut :-
Lulus Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM)
/ Setaraf dengan mendapat kepujian dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu atau
Kepujian Bahasa Melayu Kertas Julai.
dan
Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi
Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) tahun berkenaan dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya
PNGK 2.00 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya :
Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam mata
pelajaran Pengajian Am dan
Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam dua (2)
mata pelajaran lain atau
dan
Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 1
(Band 1) dalam Malaysian University English Test
